The project reimagines a “material board” photo featuring a space adorned with ceramic tiles from the Terre Light Grey, Majestic Beige, and Silver Travertine Beige collections, transforming it into a surreal “moodboard” that strikes a delicate balance between colors, textures, and gaps.

Imagine walking through a space. Even if specific details blur over time, the sensory traces of the architecture will still linger in your memory. This work captures the subtle, intertwined traces of that reality.

Betül Ay

Betül Ay studied Interior Architecture at Istanbul Technical University from 2005 to 2010. After completing her thesis-based master’s program in Architectural Design at the same institution, she attended the Domus Academy in Milan, where she graduated with academic distinction in Interior and Living Design. Professionally, Betül gained hands-on experience at ArtMim and Kontra before joining Tabanoğlu Architecture, where she contributed to numerous prestigious national and international design projects over five years. Since 2019, she has been with MAS Architecture.
