Zeynep Esengil Ceylan

Born in Antalya, Zeynep Esengil Ceylan completed her primary, middle, and high school education in her home city. In 2006, she graduated from the Izmir Institute of Technology’s Department of Architecture. She earned her master’s degree in Architectural Design from Istanbul Technical University’s Institute of Science and Technology. She completed her PhD in the same institute in 2017. Her accolades include four “Western Mediterranean Architecture Awards”—two in the Building category and two in the Project category—along with a second prize in the “Varsak Municipality Service Building Architectural Design Competition” (2016), and an excellence award in the “MimED Architecture Student Project Awards” (2004) for her first-year projects. Her book, titled “Planlama ve Tasarım Sürecinde Katılım: Antalya Örneği” was published by the Antalya branch of the Chamber of Architects. She has authored various articles on architecture and design, published in national and international journals. Since 2011, she has been a partner at Rem Mimarlık, where she focuses on architecture, interior design, conservation, and renovation, while also teaching project courses at Antalya Bilim University.

Ali Olgu Ceylan

Ali Olgu Ceylan graduated from Yıldız Technical University’s Department of Architecture in 2008. He spent his final year at the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Valencia on an exchange program. He earned his master’s in Architectural Design Theory at the Universitat Politécnica de Catalunya, Escola Técnica Superior d’Arquitectura de Barcelona. After refining his skills in various architectural firms, he founded AOC Mimarlık in 2017, a firm operating in both architecture and construction. Since 2018, he has co-led Rem Mimarlık with Zeynep Esengil Ceylan. He has been teaching project and construction courses at Antalya Bilim University since 2017. He is a member of the Official Spanish-Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which has been established to foster economic and cultural relations between Spain and Turkey. He also serves as the Founding President of the Mediterranean Free Architects Association, established in 2023.
